Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026.

Moleculium ("the site") is run by İsmail Tufan in Turkey, who is responsible for the personal data described here. The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comments, and it does not ask for your name or email. This policy explains the little data that is processed when you visit, who processes it, and the choices you have.

What the site itself stores

The site's own code sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. Its fonts, scripts and 3D models are served from this site's own address, so loading a page does not contact font or script services elsewhere, apart from the two described below. Google's advertising script, described below, can store cookies and other data in your browser under this site's address, for example to remember a consent choice.

Hosting: Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Visitor statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

To count visits, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage and does not fingerprint your browser or track you across sites. It records page views, the page that referred you, your browser and device type and your approximate country, and the site sees these only as totals. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Advertising: Google AdSense

Advertising on the site comes from Google AdSense. Google's AdSense script loads on the home page and on the element, compound and article pages, whether or not an ad appears; this policy, the terms, About, Contact, the error page, the compound and article lists, the molar mass calculator and the formula builder never load it. When the script loads, your browser automatically sends Google the address of the page and your IP address, and Google may set or read cookies; Google uses this information, among other things, to deliver and measure ads and to protect against fraud and abuse. Where ads are shown:

Google explains how it uses data from sites like this one in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and describes its advertising cookies in How Google uses cookies in advertising. When advertising is enabled, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown. If you consent, Google may show personalised ads. If you allow cookies but not personalisation, Google may show non-personalised ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. If you do not consent, Google may show limited ads, which are not personalised and use cookies and local storage only to detect invalid traffic, fraud and abuse. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Privacy and cookie settings" link that Google adds at the bottom of the pages that carry ads.

If you email us

If you write to hello@moleculium.com, your message and address are used only to reply and to correct the site, and are deleted when no longer needed for that.

Your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (for advertising, through the "Privacy and cookie settings" link described above). Visitor statistics and hosting rely on legitimate interests (running and securing the site); personalised advertising relies on your consent. You may also complain to your data protection authority. Because the site itself holds almost no personal data, most requests about advertising data are best made to Google, but you can always write to hello@moleculium.com.

Your rights under Turkish law (KVKK)

The site is run from Turkey, so Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) also applies. Under its Article 11 you may ask whether personal data about you is processed, request information about it, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Requests can be sent to hello@moleculium.com.

Your rights under California law (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. The site does not sell personal information for money. Personalised advertising through Google may count as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the Ads Settings and aboutads.info links above. The site will not treat you differently for using these rights. Requests can be sent to hello@moleculium.com.

Children

The site is written for students from about 16 upwards and for adults, and it is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about privacy go to hello@moleculium.com.
